William A. Finn

William A. “Bill” Finn, 85 of La Crosse passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at the Gundersen Health System in La Crosse. He was born October 26, 1935 in La Crosse to William R. and Catherine (Murphy) Finn.

Bill served in the United States National Guard. On March 21, 1977 he married Karleen Kuester. Bill worked for many years as an operating engineer for Mathy Construction. He was a member of Operating Engineers Local Union 139. Bill enjoyed airplanes, anything mechanical and was an avid Brewers and Packers fan. He was a devoted member of the Cathedral of St. Joseph the Workman in La Crosse.

Bill is survived by his wife, Karleen; a daughter, Mary (David) Paulus of Wauwatosa, WI; William “Will” (Paula) Finn of La Crosse; four grandchildren; Katja Paulus, Shannon, Lauren, and Erin Finn; a brother, James (Donna) Finn of La Crosse. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Gregory Finn and a sister, Mary Tolentino.
