Vivian (Honey) Alice Perkins Conley was born August 1, 1928, in Cambridge, Maine to Harry, Sr. and Annie Perkins. Honey was married to Robert Conley for 70 years and had the honor of holding hands with the love of her life as she passed October 31, 2023, at the age of
95. Honey and Bob met while he was on leave from the Navy in Mercer, ME. They later moved to La Crescent and Brownsville, MN to raise their 4 children.
Honey had many hobbies including crochet, needle point, baking, canning, gardening, dancing, playing cards, snowmobiling and boating. Most importantly to her was family time with Sunday dinners and watching the Green Bay Packers. Honey never went anywhere without a treat bag, blanket or a pillow to gift and left with a laugh saying “see ya later when your legs are a little straighter”
Honey was our ray of sunshine, singing “You are my sunshine” at any opportunity, was “full of piss an’ vinega” and a proud Maine “Mainiac”. Honey gifted her family with an infectious laugh and the many memories made over the years.
She was survived by her husband and best friend Robert Conley, sister Lucenie Carson, daughter Becky (Bruce) Russell, son Rex (Roxanne) Conley, daughter-in-law Stephanie Franzose and many grandkids, great grandkids, and great great grandkids. Honey was reunited with her parents, brother Harry Perkins Jr, sister Isabelle Stratten, son Roy Franzose and daughter Rowena Herring, son-in-law El Herring.
Special thank you to Mayo Clinic Hospice Team, especially Linsey and Desire, and Marsha from Quality Comfort Care, for allowing the honor to support Bob and Honey’s wish to pass with dignity in her home surrounded by love and family.
As per Vivian's wishes, a private family gathering has already taken place at an earlier date.
