Tom P. Farrell

Tom P. Farrell, 83 of Mindoro, Onalaska, passed away at his home on Monday, December 23, 2019. He was born May 25, 1936 in La Crosse to George and Charlotte “Lottie” (Burns) Farrell and graduated from Aquinas High School.

Tom had worked as private practice as a chemical dependency counselor and practiced in La Crosse for over 40 years. He also practiced in Northbrook, IL for six years, Orlando, FL for a year and Wausau, WI for 16 years. Tom retired in 1998 and had lived in Mindoro for many years.

Tom loved the outdoors, Native American Spirituality and his sweat lodge brotherhood. Tom married Kathleen Grace Naegle and together they had four daughters.

Tom is survived by his four daughters; Maureen Snodgrass of West Salem, WI, Kathleen (Jeff) Holte of Rock Springs, WI, Erin Glibertson of Holmen, WI and Charlotte (Bob) Stauffer of Onalaska; a sister, Charlotte Baier of Onalaska; four grandchildren, Davy (Keely) Deters of La Crosse, Jordan (Cheyenne) Deters of Hermantown, MN, Jess (Rachel) Gilbertson of La Crosse and Lauren Stauffer of Eau Claire, WI; five great-grandchildren, Parker and Ethan Deters, Luna and Astaria Deters and Elena Gilbertson, along with a niece, Sarah (Jai) Kalsy of Rochester, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Mary Farrell; a son-in-law, Ben Snodgrass; an uncle, Wally Dahlquist and his former wife, Kathleen Kauffman.

A celebration of Tom’s life will be held from 1-4 PM on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at Creekside Grill & Pub, 5450 Keil Coulee Road, La Crosse. This will be an outdoor venue. An open mic will be available for people to share memories and stories of Tom.
