Thomas Charles Reget

Thomas Charles Reget, 90, of La Crosse, died on Monday, January 29, 2018 at the Mayo clinic Health System in La Crosse. He was born on May 31, 1927 in La Crosse to Robert and Suzanne (Fancher) Reget. Tom graduated from Aquinas High School and served with the US Navy during WWII. He was a member of the 40 et 8, and was a member of the Freedom Honor Flight. Tom married Mary Jane Kingdon on August 23, 1952 in Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She preceded him in death in 1998. Tom worked for the United States Postal Service for over 30 years, retiring in 1982. He then drove for Ready Bus Service for 20 years. Tom was a very talented woodworker and also helped many family and friends build and remodel their homes. He was an avid sports fan and loved travelling. Tom had a heart of gold and would help anyone.

He is survived by four children, Linda Thesing of La Crescent, Laurie Soller of Sparta, Thomas (Janette) Reget of Butte, MT, and Paul (Debbie) Reget of Bellingham, MA, eleven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, a brother Richard (Eunice) Reget of Middle Ridge, a sister-in-law Helen Kingdon of Lawndale, CA, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife Mary Jane he was preceded in death by two sons-in-law, Thomas Thesing and Greg Soller, one sister and two brothers.
