Theresa Anna Van Lin, 64 of La Crosse passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at the Mayo Health System in La Crosse due to complications of COVID-19. She was born August 21, 1956 in Ashland, WI to Thomas and Caroline (Fleiner) Stilin and graduated from High School in Houston, MN.
On December 21, 1974 she married Frank Van Lin in Long Beach, CA. and together they joyfully welcomed their daughter, Tasha to their family. Theresa was very humble with a love for life, she often worked as an advocate for others which she used in her career in healthcare and various care facilities in the La Crosse area.
Family was the most important part of Theresa’s life. Her three grandchildren to whom she was known as “Nanna T” and her daughter, Tasha whom she called “her sunshine” were the highlights of her life. She was known for her many warm hugs, her scent of vanilla and her love of Hershey Chocolate Bars. Theresa always remembered each and everyone’s birthday and would call to sing happy birthday to them on their special day. She enjoyed Blues music and her time spent in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, especially Copper Falls and the town of Mellen, where she spent time growing up. She was always the first on the dance floor and had an unconditional love for her sisters, brother, nieces, nephews and friends.
