Terry J. Steindorf

Terry James Steindorf 1948-2025 (76 years old)

 Terry was an artist, musician, husband and father. He left this world, surrounded by his three sons, in an atmosphere of love, peace and dignity.

 Terry was born in Tomah, Wisconsin, on July 5th, 1948, to parents Pete Grey Hair and Lavina (Davis) Thorud, with Harry Steindorf stepping in to adopt and raise Terry. As an adult Terry would marry the love of his life, Virginia (Bonnie) Steindorf, who has since passed on August 7th, 2020.

 Upon graduation from high school in De Soto, WI, Terry attended a 2-year managerial course for printing and publishing at Western Wisconsin Technical College. After years in the printing industry, he changed careers and pursued hair dressing and furthered his education by attending a 1-year course at La Crosse School of Beauty with additional training and competitions in Toronto, Canada. Throughout his life, Terry has had a variety of occupations to support raising his family and pursue his artistic interests.

 He is survived by his children: R James, Myra, Christopher and Andrew, grandchildren: Logan, Natalie, Marya, Samuel and Abigail, his brothers Francis and John and many extended family members and friends.

To watch a man pass peacefully, entrusting his dignity to the few he knew could honor his wishes, was the greatest gift I could have given my father.
