Teresa “Teri” Rae (Lundgren) Oehler, 58, a life-long resident of Onalaska and graduate of Onalaska High School, died on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at the Gundersen Health System surrounded by her family. Teresa was born on June 10, 1958 in La Crosse to Jim and Kay (Haugstad) Lundgren. She married Steve Young and together they share two boys, Jason and Ryan, they later divorced. She married Gary Oehler on December 20, 2003. Teresa worked at various places over the years including Oak Forest, Hillview, Scoreboard Tavern, and retired from Gundersen due to her illness. Having metastatic breast cancer didn’t stop her from doing the things she enjoyed, road trips to Hilltop for Friday fish or car hunting with her husband. She loved to share comfort food and friendships at North Country Buffett, Blue Moon for burger night, and everyone knew her favorite was ice cream and saw to it she had plenty. Her passion was knitting, quilting, Hump Day, conversations with her cherished neighbors; Bernie, Lester, and Katie, her flower garden was her treasure, sunsets gave her peace., rummage sales and tanning. She despised clouds and rain and loved to share quotes. Her family and friends were everything to her. She held a special place in her heart for her nieces and nephews, and her grandchildren were most special to her (precious she always said).
Teresa leaves behind not to mourn her but to keep her memories strong, her loving husband Gary, her children whom she was so proud of, Jason (Diane) Young and Ryan (Annie) Young, her greatest gifts of joy her grandchildren, Xander, Riley, Emma and Avery, her birds, Harry and Boober, god-daughters Jorgina and Lainey, a brother Michael Lundgren, sisters Lori (Jeff) Voves, Sheri (Eugene) Meyer, Heather Jehu (Dennis), Mary (Keith) Carraux, many nieces and nephews , too many to name but each and every one of you were so important to her and she cherished the time you spent with her, aunts, Mary, Kay, Donia and Ruth Ann, Uncles Bob and Charlie, many cousins, her in-laws, Jerry (Marcy) Oehler, Charlotte (Mike) Stang, Lorraine, Conrad, Becky and Rodney, treasured family Dena Davis, Michael Jehu, precious friends Meimo, Ma Borger, Bernie, Lester, Katie, and Rachael, Lori and Brett Hetue, and many more friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, sisters-in-law Dawndra and Mae, brother-in-law Merlin, and a nephew Dylan.
