Sylvia J. Wyland

Sylvia J. Wyland, 77, of Onalaska, WI passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Hillview Health Care Center in La Crosse. She was born on January 15, 1947 in La Crosse to Harlin and Mildred (Stahl) Niedfeldt. She married Edgar Wyland on June 19, 1981. Sylvia and Ed enjoyed traveling throughout the U.S. especially to Missouri and Arkansas. After Ed passed away, she continued to travel with cousins and friends. In recent years she enjoyed playing games with family and her friends at SpringBrook. She was always up for a trip to Walmart and dinner afterwards.

She is survived by a step-daughter Peggy Sue (Vince) Niemcyk, grandchildren Josie (Cody) Koudela, John (Mackenzie) Niemcyk, Luke (Karina) Niemcyk and Ben Niemcyk, great grandchildren Nathan, Evelyn Rose, Sawyer and Maria, nieces and nephews Scott (Barb) Viner, Kathy (Jeff) Koblitz, Kim (Jeff) Fredrick, Kelly (Travis) Proksch, Bill (Kathy) Kendhammer and Steve (Jessica) Kendhammer, great nieces and nephews Hayley, Alyssa (Paul), Alex (Amanda), Jordan (Sarah), Kody (Brianna), Rachel, Robbie, Matt, Tyler, Collin, Owen, Addison, Carter, Madeline, Noa Mae and Thomas. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2007 along with three sisters and two brothers-in-law Virginia (Eugene) Viner, Ruth Niedfeldt, and Marie (Jim) Kendhammer.

In keeping with Sylvia’s wishes there will be no services. Private burial will take place in Mormon Coulee Memorial Park, La Crosse, WI.
