Steven "Stell" J. Stellick

Steven J. “Stell” Stellick, 62 of La Crosse, passed away at his home of cancer with his wife Lori by his side, on Tuesday, February 15, 2022. He was born June 2, 1959, in La Crosse to Donald and Bernadette (Bleskacek) Stellick. He graduated from La Crosse Central High School in 1977 and later WTC.

On April 24, 1999, he married Lori Davis in La Crosse. He was a stepfather to Casey and Courtney with whom he shared his love of nature and music and so many other things. He loved having a family. He was also a doting grandfather who loved every minute of time he spent with his grandchildren.

Steve worked for many years as a cabinet maker and installer for various cabinet companies. In 2015 he began work for Dynamic Recycling and remained with them until his passing.

Stell loved spending time on the river and was an avid boater, fisherman and hunter. He also enjoyed bicycling and hiking. He loved all sports. In his younger days he played softball on several local teams and enjoyed his time as a “Battling Bohunk” for the Old Timers Pumpkin Ball Tournaments with his brother Jerry. He was an avid fan of the Badgers, Brewers, Bucks and Green Bay Packers.

Steve is survived by his wife Lori; two stepdaughters Casey Martin and Courtney Smith; four grandchildren, Jaxton and Kendalynn Martin, Lucy and John Smith; two sisters, Jean Stellick of La Crosse and Barb (Rod) Newhouse of La Crescent; a brother, Rick (Mary) Stellick of Spring Green, WI; a sister-in-law, Starla Stellick of Onalaska as well as many nieces and nephews and many great friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Jerry Stellick and his labs, Spike and Murphy.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1-4 P.M. on Saturday, March 5 ^th at the Moose Lodge, 1932 Ward Avenue, La Crosse.
