Steve J. Radtke

Steve J. Radtke, 71 of La Crosse, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at the Gundersen Health System in La Crosse. He was born on December 9, 1951, in Berlin, Wisconsin to Albin and Adeline (Dumke) Radtke and graduated from Tri-County High School in Plainfield, WI. Steve then served in the United States Navy until his discharge. Upon returning home, he attended Mid-State Technical College in Wisconsin Rapids, studying auto mechanics. On July 1, 1978, he married Sharon Schwarz in Plainfield. Steve worked for the Pre-Way Company in Wisconsin Rapids before becoming a milk truck hauler for the K&K Cheese Factory in Cashton for many years until his retirement in 2008. He enjoyed golfing, fishing especially for walleye, camping and a good conversation. Steve is survived by his wife, Sharon; son, Steven (Laura) Radtke of Eagan, MN; grandson, Elliott Radtke also of Eagan; two sisters, Suzanne Miller of Lodi, WI and Ruth Radtke of Sparta, WI; a brother, Dan Radtke of Port Jervis, NY, and his cat, Munchy. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ed Radtke.
