Shirley Ann White

Shirley Ann (Williams) White, 87, of La Crosse, died on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at Meadowbrook of Black River Falls. She was born on September 21, 1936 in Stanton, MI to Lester and Norine (Griffin) Williams. She moved to La Crescent, MN in 1947 where she was a charter member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. Shirley was a life member and Past Worthy Matron of Evening Star Chapter 71 Order of the Eastern Star and a member of Ruth Chapter 23, OES in La Crosse. She was also a member of the White Shrine No. 21 and a past Worthy High Priestess, and the American Legion Auxiliary Post 52 in La Crosse. Shirley was a member of Mary, Mother of the Church Parish in La Crosse. She met Robert A. White, and they were married on March 20, 1980 in St. Patrick’s Catholic church in Onalaska. They moved to Holmen where Shirley worked as a bus driver for 15 years. They moved back to La Crosse in 2004.

Shirley is survived by her son Mark (Marilee) Forsberg of Rosemount, MN, grandson Joseph Forsberg of Eagan, MN, granddaughter Michelle Forsberg and great grandson Nicklaus Johnson of Rosemount, MN, stepson Scott (Amy) White of Tomah and granddaughter Laurel White and grandson Daniel White, stepson Bob White of West Salem and granddaughters Chole White, Rachel White, and Raeanna White, stepdaughter Kathy (Tony) Curtis of La Crosse and grandson Perry White, and stepson John White of Mountville, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband Bob in 2011 and her parents.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 6th, 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral & Cremation Services of La Crosse. Father Brian D. Konopa will officiate. Burial will be in the Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:30 AM until the time of services.
