Shirley M. Allen

Shirley M. Allen, 91 of La Crosse passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at the Mulder Health Care Center in West Salem. She was born on January 29, 1929 in La Crosse to Albert and Edith (Peterson) Leitz and graduated from Central High School. She then graduated from nursing school in Chicago and served as a pediatric nurse at St. Vincent De Paul in Chicago. Shirley later moved back to La Crosse and retired as a nurse from St. Francis Hospital. She loved kittens, sweets and especially babies.

Shirley is survived by a daughter; Michelle Allen of La Crosse; three grandchildren, Mallery Muenzenberger of Onalaska, Maverick Muenzenberger of La Crosse and Ahnalea Allen of La Crosse; one great-grandson, Major Harris of La Crosse.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 11 ^th at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services of La Crosse with Pastor Martin Yeager officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.
