Severna "Kitty" Gay Buta

Severna Gay “Kitty” Buta, 80, formerly of Sparta, WI, died on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at the Onalaska Care Center. She was born on August 16, 1938 in Annapolis, MD. Severna married Nicholas Buta and they lived in the Sparta area for 28 years. He preceded her in death on April 5, 2018. Severna had worked at Best Power Technology in Necedah for 13 years and Minute Management in Hustler, WI for seven years before retiring. She was an active member of the American Embroidery Guild where she won many blue ribbons for her talents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Onalaska. Msgr. Steven Kachel will officiate. Burial will be in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 AM until the time of services. In lieu of flowers memorial may be given to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
