With profound sadness we announce the passing of Sean Alan Ewing (33) on November 12th, 2024, in Dakota, MN. Sean was a cherished son, brother, and friend, known for his steadfast faith, generous spirit, and deep love for life.
Sean was born on May 24th, 1991, in Truckee, CA, to John Ewing and Susan (Padesky) Heuslein. He grew up in a home filled with love and devotion and graduated from Holmen High School, where he formed lasting connections.
Sean’s faith in Jesus was the cornerstone of his life, shaping his values and the way he cared for others. He lived with a servant’s heart, always willing to lend a helping hand and uplift those around him.
Gifted with incredible craftsmanship, Sean spent much of his life working with his hands, excelling in construction, plumbing, and handyman work. Whether he was building, repairing, or creating, Sean brought passion and dedication to all he did.
He was most at peace in God’s creation, finding joy in hunting, fishing, hiking, rock collecting, and farm work. Sean’s love for the great outdoors was a reflection of his appreciation for the beauty of the world God made.
Sean is survived by his loving family: his siblings, Moriah Ewing, Nicholas Ewing, and Matthew Ewing; his father, John Ewing; his mother, Susan Heuslein; and his stepfather, Stephen Heuslein. His kind heart and strong faith leave a lasting legacy for all who knew him.
An invite-only burial will take place on November 22nd, 2024, at Prospect Hill Cemetery in La Crescent, MN. While the service will be private, Sean’s memory and the love he shared will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
Sean has found eternal peace and joy in the kingdom of heaven, where the adventure never ends.
