Scott Edward Seidel, 52, of La Crosse, Wis., peacefully passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minn., from a debilitating stroke.
Scott was born on June 7, 1966 to James (Jake) Seidel and Janice (Wagner) Inda in La Crosse, Wis. He was the youngest of 5 children. Scott married Jenny George on April 20, 1990 and they had three wonderful boys. Scott and Jenny divorced and he later met Susan Lampman who was a loving partner and friend. She was there by his side until the end.
Scott had a love for music, fishing and the outdoors. He enjoyed sports and would often be found on holidays outside throwing a football to the kids. He enjoyed antiques and collecting old bottles while researching their history.
Scott was preceded in death by his father, James Seidel. He is survived by his mother, Janice (Wagner) Inda; his children, Ryan Seidel, Bradley (Kristina) Seidel and Kyle (Amanda) Seidel; his grandchildren, Jackson, Landon and Peyton; his siblings, Bonnie Seidel, Carleen (Seidel) Thursten, Steve Seidel, Jerry Seidel, and his half-brother, James Seidel; his nieces and nephews, Wendi Ruesgen, Tami Stenberg, Tobi Ryan, Heather Stokely, Shane Berger, Craig Seidel, Kiersten Seidel, Travis Seidel, Natasha Seidel, and Cassandra Hurley; his cousins, Mark, Randy and Vicki along with many other family members. He also has friends who will miss him especially his best friend, Gary Thorson, and his sister, LaDean.
A celebration of life is being held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 15 th , at Shelter #5 at Goose Island, W6488 County Rd. GI, Stoddard, WI 54658 (3 miles south of La Crosse on Hwy. 35). Stroke is a risk for anyone at any age. As his family, we urge everyone to know the signs and remember to get help immediately. Scott miraculously survived his initial stroke over 8 years ago, unfortunately this one took his life.
Gone, but never forgotten. We love you, Scott.
