Scott E. Nagle

July 6, 1964 — January 29, 2020

Scott Edward Nagle, 55, of La Crosse, passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2020, at the Hillview Healthcare Center, La Crosse.

He was born in La Crosse on July 6, 1964, to Edward J. and Elrose K. (Murphy) Nagle, Jr.  He attended La Crosse area schools and was a 1983 graduate of Logan High School.

Scott was a family man tho’ he did not have kids of his own, he loved all his nieces and nephews. They were his pride and joy. He started working at the movie theatre at a young age, he always loved his movies and had a vast collection. He shared this passion with his nieces and nephews. They didn’t need to rent a movie they would just call Uncle Scott and ask if they could come and pick out a movie. He loved Halloween and was always excited to hand out candy to those who stopped for tricks and treats. His love for the nieces and nephews extended as he watched them at Christmas as they opened those special gifts he gave each year. Scott loved camping, hiking and biking. We all knew Scott would have the candy supply when we would take those long hikes and bike rides. He loved camping at Perrot Park so that we could order pizza at the campsite, we all know his love for pizza! He loved his family; if that was going to dinner, birthday celebrations, watching parades or holiday get-togethers he was there.  He was a proud member of the Sons of the American Legion, Post 52. Many would see him in the kitchen and at Freedom Fest. Always the first to help out when help was needed. He was a listener to those who needed to talk, he gave life advice and did not judge anyone. Even tho’ he needed care taking later in his life, he was a caretaker. He truly made wonderful, long lasting friendships.  He loved his Packers and thoroughly enjoyed all the family visits; the laughing and sharing of stories at the end. His favorite saying was “it don’t matter”. Scott will never be forgotten and will always be in each of hearts.

Scott is survived by his eight siblings, Patricia (Gerald) Christianson, James Nagle, Randy (Jeannette) Nagle, Cheryl Crawford, Barbara (Steve) Hoff, Debbie (Dean) Seidel, Kerri Nagle and Janet Bahr; his fourteen nieces and nephews, Todd (Laura) Johnson, Rachel Crawford, Jessica (Tain) Mikesell, Eric Nagle, Claire Nagle, Mark (Anna) Nagle, John (Jenny) Nagle, Jason Johnson, Nathan Hoff, Ashley Seidel, Mandi Hoff, Jennah Bahr, Jack Bahr, Jaycie Bahr, as well as his step, great, and great, great nieces and nephews.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Elrose Nagle; his sister, Donna Johnson, and triplet brothers, Kent, Kevin and Kurt; brothers-in-law, Dave Crawford and Floyd Johnson; and sister-in-law, Dee Dee Nagle.
