Sandra Lee Quillin

Sandra Lee (Kubiak) Quillin, 80, passed away on April 26, 2021 at Benedictine Manor in La Crosse. She was born on March 7, 1941. She was the youngest of ten children born to Roman and Johanna (Kleinowski) Kubiak. She graduated from Aquinas High School in 1959 and was then employed by Trane Company for several years.

She is survived by her husband, Lyle of 58 years, her daughter Kelly (Bill) Schneider, son Tim (Karin) Quillin both of Onalaska and daughter Kristin Quillin of La Crosse, her grandchildren, Jake (Andrea) Schneider of Woodbury, MN, Samantha (friend Mitchell) Schneider of Oshkosh; and Nic and McKenzie Quillin of Onalaska; two sisters, Katie Cook and Patricia McDowell of La Crosse, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Isabelle Surges, LaVerne Maglio, Marian Pierce, Jeanette Pearse, Shirley Weis, and brothers Harry and Kenneth Kubiak.

She enjoyed representing the La Crosse area as the 2000 Oktoberfest Frau and was proud to have served as a volunteer at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe for many years.

The family would like to thank the staff of Benedictine Manor and the staff of Mayo Hospice for their deep concern and excellent care during her final days. We could not have asked for a more dedicated group to care for our loved one.

In accordance with her wishes, a private family funeral mass will be held in her memory at the Shrine of Our Lady Guadalupe. Memorials may be designated to the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe or the Aquinas Catholic Schools.
