Sandra H. Lehmann

Sandra H. “Sandy” Lehmann, 72 of Hokah, MN, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at the Gundersen Health System in La Crosse surrounded by her family. She was born November 28, 1951, in Sparta, WI to Cecil and Helen (Christenson) Meyer. Sandy was baptized and confirmed in St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sparta. She graduated from Sparta High School and attended Western Wisconsin Technical College in clerical studies.

On October 6, 1973, she married David Lehmann at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sparta. Sandy initially worked at Gundersen-Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse in the medical records department. Thereafter she dedicated her time to raising her children and working on the family dairy farm.

Sandy was a devoted wife, mom, and grandma. She was an active member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Hokah where she served as president of the Altar Society. Sandy also volunteered as a 4-H leader and belonged to the Hokah Homemakers. She enjoyed playing euchre, spoons and other games with her family and friends.

Sandy is survived by her husband Dave of Hokah; four children, Jenny (Joe) Riederer of Brownsville, MN, Gordon (Lena) Lehmann and John (Angela) Lehmann both of La Crescent, and Alan (Jaclyn) Lehmann of Onalaska; seven grandchildren, Ryan, Justin and Jenessa Riederer, Isaac, Dylan, Kaylynn and Aiden Lehmann; a sister, Susan (Wendell) Williams of Mauston, WI; two brothers, Ron (Kathy) Meyer of Tomah and Darrell (Kathy) Meyer of Plano, IL; a sister-in-law, Celia Meyer of Sparta, along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, David Meyer and a sister, Judy Meyer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 27th at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Hokah with Rev. Robert Horihan officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Hokah. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Memorials are suggested to St. Peter’s Catholic School 34 Main Street, Hokah, MN 55941.
