Sandra K. Langen

Sandra Kaye (Mitchell) Langen, 74, of Hokah, MN passed away peacefully the evening of December 27, 2021 at her home with the love of her family surrounding her. She was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, sister and friend.

Sandra was born on January 4, 1947 to Calvin and Rita (Pitz) Mitchell. She attended St. Peter’s School in Hokah where she met Larry Langen. They were later married on September 25, 1965.

She enjoyed crafting, crocheting, sewing, flower gardening and entering items into the Houston County Fair, as well as spending time with her family and friends. She held a variety of jobs over the years. One thing she truly enjoyed was their summers spent working in the Big Horn Mountains for the National Parks System. Mom got to visit with all the campers and Dad got to go fishing all day.

Sandra is survived by her husband Larry and three sons, Paul (fiance’ Ingred Haase) Langen of Houston, Brian (Kathy) Langen of Caledonia, Jason Langen of Hokah; grandchildren Willy (Amber) Langen, Alex (Danielle) Langen, Justin Langen, Orion Langen, Eden Haase (daughter of Ingred), Paige (Aric) Elton, Tanner Langen, Tristen Langen, Austin Langen; eight great grandchildren; siblings Diane Starch, Pat (Bob) Matson, Cal (Joan) Mitchell, Mike (Judy) Mitchell, Rita (Terry) Gruntzel, Ben (Dawn) Spagl; brother-in-law Tom (Nancy) Langen; sister-in-law Kay (Hank) Oehmigen along with a special loved one Libby Stoltz.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Nancy Mitchell, brother-in-law Larry Starch, niece Julie Howard and two infant siblings Julie and Ricky Mitchell.

A Celebration of her Life will be held in the Spring of 2022.
