Ruth M. Marnach, 94 of La Crosse, died on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Bethany Riverside Nursing Facility. She was born in La Crosse on December 19, 1922 to Joseph and Helen (Kabat) Verse. She married Arnold Marnach and he preceded her in death. Ruth will be remembered as a devoted loving mother to her only child Mary Jean Goyette. She was a doting mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother who loved camping, playing cards and always made the holidays a warm and special event.
The family would like to thank Ruth’s friends and the staff at Bethany Riverside for truly making it her home for these final years. They would like to also express their gratitude to Tri State Ambulance Service for their compassion.
In addition to her daughter Mary Jean Goyette of Holmen, Wis., she is survived by two grandchildren; Shelly Goyette of La Crosse and Mark (Jnell) Goyette of Holmen, five great grandchildren; Cheyenne, Damond, Chariell, Blake and Dane; one great-great grandchild Kyler, one sister Rose Ramey of Onalaska and one brother Jerry (Sherry) Verse of La Crosse. She was preceded in death by her six siblings.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, November 27, 2017 in the Marian Chapel at the Cathedral of St. Joseph The Workman. Monsignor Charles Stoetzel will officiate. Burial will follow in the Catholic Cemetery, La Crosse. Friends may call on the family Monday morning at the church from 9:30 am until the time of Mass.
