Ruth K. Jordan (94) of Onalaska was called to her eternal home on Friday March 14th, 2025, at The Heights in Holmen. She was born March 3rd, 1931, in Sheboygan to Martin & Katharine (Guenther) Brandt. The family moved to Milwaukee in 1940 where she met Alvin R. Jordan. They were united in marriage on May 19th, 1951, at Hephata Lutheran Church, a union that lasted 67 years until Alvin’s death in 2018. Throughout their lives together, which involved several moves around the country, she served as the organist in the churches they joined.
She is survived by her daughter Brenda of Onalaska; a granddaughter, Brandy (Scott) Clarke of Richmond, TX; two great-grandsons, Jonathan and Matthew; sister-in-law Carol Brandt of Neenah; and a nephew-in-law Glenn (Kathi) Welnak of Oconomowoc.
She was preceded in death by two sons Randolph and Richard, a granddaughter Jody Clarke, and a brother Roland Brandt.
A funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday March 26th, 2025, at St. Mark’s Ev. Lutheran Church of Onalaska with Pastor Randy Fossum to officiate. Burial will follow in the Onalaska City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mark’s Ev. Lutheran Church of Wisconsin Right to Life.
