Ruth Anderson

Ruth V. Anderson, 92, of La Crosse, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2017, at the Bethany-Riverside Nursing Facility, La Crosse.

She was born March 22, 1925, in La Crosse, to John and Ida (Ziegler) Bey. She attended Central High School and graduated in June of 1943. She worked at Jupiter and Kmart for 43 years as a bookkeeper.

Ruth married Charles E. Anderson on June 5, 1949, at First Ev. Lutheran Church in La Crosse, where she was a life-long member. She belonged to Ladies Aid, OWLS, and the mailing committee.

Ruth is survived by her son, Robert (Peggy) Anderson of Coon Valley; two grandsons, Ryan (Tracy) Anderson of Necedah, Wis. And Kevin Anderson of French Island; one great granddaughter, Taylor Marie Anderson of Necedah; brothers-in-law, Ray (Hazel) Anderson of La Crosse and David Anderson of Iron Ridge, Wis.; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, on July 22, 2010; her parents, John and Ida Bey; one brother, Frank (Wilma) Bey of La Crosse; and four sisters, Florence (Clifford) Richmond of Rockland, Wis., Martha (Clair) Norris of La Crosse, Elsie (Albert) Nielsen of La Crosse, and Alberta (Ray) Eden of La Crescent.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 25 ^th , at First Ev. Lutheran Church, 400 West Ave. So., La Crosse. Pastor Richard Pamperin will officiate. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, La Crosse. Family and friends may call from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services, 200 West Ave. So., La Crosse, and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at the church.
