Ruby R. Wunnecke

Ruby Leone (Roraff) Wunnecke, 92, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 surrounded by her family. Ruby was born on July 22, 1930 in La Crosse, WI., to Joseph and Helene (Lampert) Roraff. She was united in marriage to Harold Wunnecke and they celebrated 56 years together before Harold passed in 2005. Their marriage was blessed with three daughters, Pamela Zang, Sharon (Henry) Ver Ploeg and Susan (Rick) Drangstveit.

She was preceded in death by her brother Aaron Roraff and sister-in-law Dorothy Roraff.

Survivors include her three daughters, four grandchildren Bradley Ver Ploeg, Carissa (Joe) Benesh, Heather (John) McConeghey and Joseph (Molly) Zang, four great grandchildren Aidan and Myra McConeghey, Phoebe Ver Ploeg, Kylie Benesh-Llop, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her husband Harold, she was preceded in death by her parents and her son in law Dennis Zang.

At mom’s request, there will be no service, and private family interment will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery.
