Rosemary J. Ellingsworth

Rosemary J. Ellingsworth, 82, of La Crosse, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2024 at Mayo Health System in La Crosse. She was born on March 24, 1941 in La Crosse to Frank and Leona (Grabhorne) Wurzel.

Rose was a loving, caring, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and a friend to so many.

She had many employment positions over the years but the one that held her heart the most was watching children in her home.

Cooking was something she did well.  We all had our favorites that she would make for us knowing we were visiting.   Lasagna, oatmeal cookies, guacamole, enchiladas, tips and rice, and spaghetti and garlic bread to name a few.

Rose loved to go camping in the summer at Bluebird Campground before her husband Ben passed away in 2015.  Many great family memories were made there.

She is survived by 3 children, Ron Derks (AKA Golden Boy), Terri Stock and Rich (Karla) Derks, 8 Grandchildren,  Michelle Lietzau, Mathew Derks, Tyler Derks, Samantha Derks, Jessica Cobb, Jackie Spencer, Benjamin Stock and Emily Stock, 10 Great Grandchildren,  Jaydon Lietzau, Devon Lietzau, Jocelyn Lietzau,  Kylie Derks, Macie Derks, Emmie Derks, Drew Spencer, Hadley Spencer, Graham Spencer and Wyatt Cobb. She was preceded in death by a great grandchild Riley Lietzau.

At Rose's request there will be no services.
