Rose M. Uehling

Rose Mary Bouzek Uehling (nee Kellogg), 85, passed away March 2, 2023, after a battle with dementia and Parkinson's disease. She was born June 18, 1937, in Prairie du Chien, WI to parents Mary Elizabeth (Valley) Kellogg and Raymond Kellogg. Rose was raised in Prairie du Chien and graduated from Prairie du Chien High School in 1954. Rose married Edwin Frances Bouzek on June 19, 1954. They welcomed four children, Marsha, Edwin Jr, Charles, and Alan, before Edwin's death on November 9, 1976. She remarried to Eugene Uehling May 25, 2004, until his passing March 22, 2014.

Rose enjoyed spending time with her family and raising her children. She worked at St Francis Nursing Home and Servicemaster. She was an avid reader, and loved her cats, Skogie and Sweetie. She loved feeding and watching the birds in her yard. She loved a good sausage pizza.

Rose is survived by her brother, Jack (Darlene) Kellogg, of Prairie du Chein; children, Marsha Anderson of La Crosse, Charles (Laurie) of Appleton, WI, and Alan of La Crosse; grandchildren, Tim Bouzek (Izumi Kamada), Ashley Anderson, Andrew Anderson (Katie Vartanian) all of La Crosse, Katie Bouzek of Appleton, WI, and Nikki Bouzek of Oshkosh, WI; and extended family members.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Lucille (Alvin) Anderson, Pearl (Floyd) Olsen, Marie (Alan) Whiteaker, and lreta (George) Wilson; brothers, Raymond Kellogg, and Laverne (Marilyn) Kellogg; husband, Edwin; second husband, Eugene; and infant son, Eddie Jr.

The family would like to thank the staff at BSJ Care Center on Shelby Road for their care during the past few years, especially Junko, Ann, Julie, and Tina, and the rest of the staff in the 700 hallway.

A private service will be held for the family at Mormon Coulee Memorial Park.
