Rose Marie Oldenburg

Rose Marie Oldenburg (Stellpflug) passed away on April 7, 2018 at the Hillview Health Care Center in La Crosse. Rose was born on July 14, 1935 in La Crosse, the daughter of Adrian and Elise (Herlitzka) Stellpflug. She was a graduate of La Crosse Aquinas High School. After marrying Jim in 1957, Rose dedicated her life to raising her family. She enjoyed playing golf, bowling and travelling with her husband in their later years. Rose was a gentle soul with a quiet disposition, her company was always appreciated and will be greatly missed.

Rose is survived by her children, John (Vicky) of Reno, Nevada, Phyllis Pielhop (Roy), Greg, Kristen, Alan (Jennifer) all of La Crosse. She is also survived by her sisters Beverly Schulenberg of Texas and Betty Nelson of North Carolina. Rose was preceded in death by her husband Jim, brother Bill Stell, and sister Ruth Helgesson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Mary, Mother of the Parish, 2006 Weston Street. Rev. Lawrence B. Berger will officiate. Burial will be in the Crucifixion Catholic Cemetery, La Crescent. Friends may call at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral & Cremation Services of La Crosse on Wednesday from 5:00 – 7:00 PM and at the church on Thursday from 9:30 until the time of services.
