 Rosalyn Helen Baumgarten, 75, of Onalaska, died on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at her home. She was born on July 29, 1949 in Baraboo, WI to Clarence and Helen (Halweg) Wick. She graduated from Baraboo High School and then from Madison Area Technical College with a degree in Secretarial Sciences. Rosalyn married Gary L. Baumgarten on September 11, 1971 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Baraboo. Rosalyn had worked as a Secretary for the Dean of the School of Education at UW-Madison, and then for many years at UW-La Crosse as a Program Assistant . She was also a longtime member of St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Onalaska.

 She is survived by her husband Gary, two daughters, Jessica (Christopher) Jenkins of Goodyear, AZ and Alison (Kodi) Ethridge of Viroqua, WI, three granddaughters, Alexandria and Ariella Ethridge, and Gwendolyn Jenkins, two brothers, Allan (Sharon) Wick of Baraboo, and Gary (Linda) Wick of Merrimac, WI, and a sister Susan Sprecher of Merrimac. She was preceded in death by her parents.

 Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 14, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Onalaska. Pastor Shane Krause will officiate. Burial will be in the Onalaska City Cemetery. Friends may call at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral & Cremation Services of Onalaska on Sunday from 4:00 – 7:00 PM, and at the church on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of services. Memorials may be given to Mayo Cancer research, Luther High School Music program, or St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
