Robert John Vodde

Robert John Vodde, 72, of West Salem, died on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at the Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse. He was born in La Crosse on June 12, 1949 to Edward and Beatrice (Lovin) Vodde. Robert graduated from Logan High School in 1967. He married Roberta Buss on February 5, 1972 in La Crosse. Robert had worked at Trane Company for 36 years, retiring in 2009. He was a doting father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He is survived by two daughters, Tammy Vodde and Cathy (Jason) Lee, both of La Crosse, three grandchildren, Jenna (fiancé Josh Wallin) Lee, Jason (fiancé Sara Hartley) Lee, Jr., and Jackson Lee, a great-granddaughter Willow Lee, and his siblings, Shirley Potaracke, Donna Amundson, Sharon (Bruce) Bion, Bonita (John) Mannel, Linda Vodde life partner Bruce Becker, and Connie (Allen) Olson. He was preceded in death by his wife Roberta, his parents, a sister Marilyn Taylor, a brother Dale (Ruth) Vodde, and two brothers-in-law, Joseph Potaracke and Richard Amundson.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral & Cremation Services of La Crosse.
