Robert W. "Bob" Dvorak

Robert W. “Bob” Dvorak, 64 of Onalaska, Wis. passed away at the Mayo Clinic Health System, La Crosse on Friday, September 22, 2017. He was born in La Crosse on November 27, 1952 to Wenzel M. and Mary L. (Moriarty) Dvorak. On May 31, 1975 Bob married Linda J. Swanbeck at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in La Crosse. Bob was employed for 37 years as a Registered Pharmacist with Mayo Clinic Health System here in La Crosse. In his free time he loved to garden, golf, cook and fish. He also cherished the special trips to Alaska he took with his best friends.

Most of all, Bob was a loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather who loved his family with his whole heart. He truly was passionate about his work as a pharmacist and his family will forever appreciate the love and support his pharmacy co-workers provided over the past few months.

In addition to his loving wife Linda Dvorak of Onalaska, he is survived by his two daughters; Jessica (Mark) Schmerse of Buford, GA., Bethany (Shea Ealey) Dvorak of Onalaska, two grandchildren; Eden and Levi Schmerse of Buford, GA; his mother Mary of La Crosse, two sisters Kathy (Tom) Scott of La Crosse, Ellen (Marc) Beardsley-Wildeman of Black Creek Wis., one brother Jim Dvorak of La Crosse, one niece Angela Boardman and three nephews, Erik Nelson, Mike Beardsley and Paul Beardsley. He was preceded in death by his father Wenzel Dvorak and infant brother Thomas.

Funeral services will be held at 11am on Friday, September 29, 2017 at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services La Crosse chapel; 200 West Ave. So. Bob’s son-in-law Pastor Mark Schmerse will officiate. Private family burial will take place at a later date. Friends may call on the family Friday morning at the funeral home one hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred and will be donated in Bob’s memory.
