Robert R. "Bob" Cushman

Robert Roy Cushman (age 74) went home to Heaven on June 1, 2024 after a 4 year battle with Multiple Myeloma.

Bob was born at home on April 30, 1950, to Harold and Henrietta (Severins) Cushman in Burt, IA. He was baptized at the Lutheran church in Burt, IA. The Harold Cushman family moved from the home farm in Iowa to Stanley, WI when Bob was 3 and then on to Mondovi, WI. He went to Naples School in Mondovi for his lower grades and graduated from Mondovi High School.

On March 14, 1970, Bob married Lynette Kuecker. Bob and Lynn had 3 children, Terry, Connie and Wendy. On July 3, 1998, Bob married Colleen Erdmann, completing their family with her children, Aaron and Anna. They would have celebrated their 26th wedding anniversary next month.

Bob worked for many years in the construction industry, continuing with that passion after his retirement from Clinical Engineering in the Clinical Engineering Department in La Crosse, WI. Bob’s greatest passions were family, fishing, hunting and any way that he could help any family or friend.

He is survived by Colleen and their children and families: Terry and Kim Cushman with Tristan and Jaclyn, Dakota, MN; Connie and Drew Gronholz with Haley and Emily, Holmen, WI; Wendy and Bryan Kumpf with Ethan, Evan, Gavin and Elizabeth, Caledonia, MN; Aaron and Rachel Erdmann with Caleb, Ava and Noah, Holmen, WI; Anna and Chad Salonek with Alana and Brooks, New London, MN; his sisters, Bea (Arland) Anderson, Dresser, WI; Judith (Gale) Goss, Mondovi, WI; and sister in law Beverly Cushman, Eyota, MN; and his many nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Dale Cushman, infant brother, Dilles Lee and brother in law, Earl McLeland.

All are welcome to a funeral service beginning at 11:00 am, Friday, June 7th, at First Lutheran Church, 414 Main St., La Crescent, MN with the Rev. Mark Rieke officiating. A light lunch will be served during which everyone is encouraged to share their favorite stories. Visitation is Thursday, 4:00-7:00 p.m. and 2 hours prior to the service at the church. Bob’s ashes will be buried at the Oak Park Cemetery in Mondovi, WI at a future date.
