Robert "Bob" K. Affeldt

Robert Kenneth “Bob” Affeldt age 92, of La Crosse, WI left this life on Monday, October 23, 2023, to go on his next journey. Bob was born on August 3, 1931, at home in La Crosse to Leonard and Adeline (Larson) Affeldt. After graduating from Central High School, he went on to work at Tausches Hardware until going into the Marine Corps in 1951. After getting out of the service, he went to work at the La Crosse Cooler Co. for 38 years until they went out of business. After that he worked at the La Crosse School District as a custodian for 10 years before retiring.

Bob is survived by his wife, Juanita (Huber) of 66 years; daughters, Kimberly (Timothy) Candahl and Kathleen (Richard) Morgan; four grandchildren, Nicholas (Jessica) Candahl, Melissa (Tyler) Schmitz, Stephanie (David) LaBeause, and Benjamin (Melissa) Morgan; great grandchildren, Jordan and Mackenzie Candahl, Alexis, Brinley, Braelyn, Tevyn, and Konnor Schmitz, Jackson and Wyatt LaBeause, and Grace, Cameron, and Ava Morgan. Bob is further survived by two step great grandchildren, Ethan and Cade Larson; sisters-in-law, Clarice (Clare) Waldenberger, and Lois Huber; brothers-in-law, Merlin (Carol) Huber, and Ken (Carol) Huber; many nieces and nephews; and two extended family members, Chandler Head and Katie McCormack.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Adeline Affeldt; brother, William (Jeanne) Affeldt, Sr.; sister, Donna (James) Jones; and brother-in-law, Donovan Huber.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, October 27, 2023, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 400 West Ave S, La Crosse, WI 54601. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday October 26, 2023, at Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services of La Crosse, 200 West Ave. South, La Crosse, WI 54601 and one hour prior to the funeral at the church. Rev. Richard Pamperin will officiate. Burial will be held at Mormon Coulee Memorial Park in La Crosse, WI.
