Rick Johnson

Rick Johnson, 72, of Chaseburg, WI, died on Friday, November 1, 2019, at the Gundersen Health System in La Crosse. He was born in Chicago, IL, on February 5, 1947, to Erick and Gertrude (Anderson) Johnson.

He was met in heaven by his Savior and parents; his son, Doug; and his lifelong mentor, Rea. The family still here on earth to celebrate his life are his wife Joyce; his daughter, Becca (Tyno) Caneloz, and his daughter, Vickie Showers and her husband, Duane Drinkwater; his grandchildren, Talise, HarleyJo, and Zachary; his siblings, Rob, Linda and Jeri; his Aunt Margaret Senase and his cousins, Mike, and his wife, Ofelia Senase, Bob and Karen Senase, Ken Erickson and Joan Meehan; and sister-in-law, Janet White, and niece, Melissa White.

He was an honorable man who loved to tell jokes that brought out belly laughs. He enjoyed being a Snap on dealer for many years which resulted in many friendships. He was also a craftsman who created works of art with wood and could fix anything. He was a sales man who made a wonderful life for his family. We will continue to celebrate his life until we meet again in our Savior's home. Rest in Peace Chrome Peddler.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 8, 2019 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1201 Avon St., La Crosse. Pastor David Leistekow will officiate. Friends may call on the family Thursday evening at the church from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., and again at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred and will be used in Rick’s memory.
