Richard C. Glander

Richard C. Glander, 87, of Mount Pleasant, WI., passed into the care of our Lord on Thursday, March

30, 2023 at Gundersen Health System, La Crosse, WI.

Richard was born in Minnesota on August 17, 1935 to Fredrick and Margaret (Lohn) Glander. He was formerly a resident of Alma, WI. He graduated from Alma High School. In 1962 Richard moved to the Racine/Mount Pleasant WI. area where he worked at the Docks. He then moved on to work at Case IH. Lastly, he retired from Twin Disc after 29 years. He enjoyed 30 years of retirement.

Richard loved spending time with friends and family, making many trips to the Sutter Farm. He also had a love for gardening, travel, polka music and dancing. Richard sang and danced up to his final days. He spent his last few weeks in the care of his sister Shirley.

Richard is survived by his sister Shirley Meier of Stoddard, WI., along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends including special friends Ed. Karen and Scot.

He was preceded in death by his very dear friend, Shirley Stetter (March 11, 2023), sisters, Eldona (Solomon) Stuber, Wilma (Joseph) Waskowiak, Luella (Melvin) Kuehn, Marcella (Laverne) Sass, Iva (Clarence) Kennebeck, Harriet (Marvin) Oesau, Delores (Merton) Sutter, brothers Frederick, LeRoy (Therese) and Melvin, Brother in law Roger Meier, nieces Nancy Todd and Kathy Zastow, Phyllis Lurkowski and nephew Dale Kennebeck.

In honoring his wishes, there will only be a private burial that will take place in the Buffalo City Cemetery. A celebration of Richard’s life will be held at a later date.
