Rhonda Sue Thompson

Rhonda Sue Thompson, 71, of Black River Falls, passed away December 3 ^rd , 2022, while at Gunderson Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, WI. She had undiagnosed ovarian cancer. She became symptomatic October 2022 and was diagnosed shortly before her death.

Rhonda was born on April 18 ^th , 1951, to parents Tilman & Rosella Thompson. Rhonda graduated from Black River Falls Senior High School in 1969. After graduation she moved to Milwaukee, and she pursued a job in print production and purchasing at the Boston Store. She worked there for over 40 years. After retiring, Rhonda moved back to Black River Falls to help take care of family members. When she moved back to Black River Falls, she started a second career as a job coach for developmentally disabled adults. She was passionate about working with her clients and loved what she did for a living.

Rhonda loved her family. She was a wonderful sister, cousin, auntie, and friend. She had a great sense of humor, and she was very giving and kind. She had an amazing personality and loved spending time with family and friends.

Rhonda was predeceased by her mother, Rosella, dad, Tilman, stepfather, Jerry, stepsiblings Kay and Kent. Rhonda is survived by siblings Tommy, Mervin, and Pamela and stepsiblings Mike and John and numerous nephews and nieces. Services will be held at St. John Lutheran Church in Black River Falls on April 15 ^th at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be at 10:00 AM. There will be a light lunch immediately after the funeral. Interment at Upper Pigeon Creek Lutheran Cemetery near Hixton, WI. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to American Cancer Society.
