Phyllis E. Walcker

Phyllis Elizabeth Walcker, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on December 8th, 2023, in La Crosse. She was born on March 18, 1938, in Stoddard, Wisconsin, to Agnes and Joseph Dolle.

Phyllis grew up surrounded by the love of her family and shared her childhood with her siblings Bob, Joe, George, Norma, Bill, Leonard, Theresa, and Bernie, all of whom preceded her in death. She is survived by her loving siblings Mary Ellen, Janice, and Leo, who will continue to carry her memory in their hearts.

In 1957, Phyllis embarked on a lifelong journey of love and commitment when she married Gerald Walcker. Together, they built a life filled with joy, challenges, and unwavering devotion until Gerald's passing in 2015. Phyllis was a devoted wife, and her marriage was a source of inspiration to all who knew them.

Phyllis was a dedicated mother to four children, including Jim, who predeceased her. She is survived by her loving children Lori, Tim, and Bob. Phyllis's legacy extends beyond her immediate family, touching the lives of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous relatives and friends.

Her warm heart, generous spirit, and infectious laughter created a welcoming atmosphere that will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her. Phyllis had an innate ability to make everyone feel loved and valued, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those she encountered.

The family invites friends and loved ones to join them in celebrating Phyllis's life at a memorial service on January 13th, 2024, in Hokah, Minnesota at Saint Peter Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the family in Phyllis's name.

Phyllis Elizabeth Walcker's departure leaves a void that can never be filled, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those who were touched by her kindness, love, and enduring spirit. May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with her beloved husband Gerald and son Jim.
