Phyllis A. Mlsna

Phyllis A. Mlsna, 84 of La Crosse found peace and eternal life on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Bethany St. Joseph in La Crosse. She was born April 6, 1933 in La Crosse to George and Viola (Schroeder) Strasser. She married Bernard Mlsna at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in La Crosse on May 1, 1956.

Phyllis is survived by four children; Brian (Joyce) Mlsna of Onalaska, WI and their children, Christopher of Madison, WI, Lauren of Milwaukee, WI and Nicholas of Eau Claire, WI; Laurie (Dennis) O’Brien and their daughter, Mary-Catherine of Naples, FL; Kari (Jay) Ellingson and their children, Ryan and Lucas of La Crescent, MN, and Brent Mlsna (Nora Pedrosa) and their daughter, Sophia of Baraboo, WI. She is further survived by her brother, Eugene Strasser of Onalaska. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Bernard Mlsna; her parents, George and Viola Strasser and her sister, Carol Schams.

Phyllis graduated from Aquinas High School in 1951 in La Crosse and worked for the La Crosse Telephone Company as well as in banking and retail before raising her four children. She later worked for Vernon Electric, Gibson Cards and Levi. She was a devoted wife and loving mother who took great pride and joy in her four children and seven grandchildren. Phyllis loved to dance and, along with her husband, was a member of the Moose Lodge 1920 in La Crosse for 26 years where they enjoyed socializing and dancing with their friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 17 ^th at Mary, Mother of the Church Parish, 2006 Weston Street, La Crosse with Brian D. Konopa officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of Mass. Private family burial will be held in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, La Crosse.
