Pauline Ferne Ziegler

Pauline Ferne Ziegler, age 86 of La Crescent, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2024 at La Crescent Health Services. She was born March 17, 1938 in Emily, MN to the late Gailand and Viola Wynn.

Pauline married Orville Ziegler on October 17, 1959 at Holy Trinity in La Crosse. She worked as a seamstress and in housekeeping at Gundersen Lutheran for 25 years. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking, baking, and gardening. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially at family Christmas gatherings.

She is survived by her children: Joseph Ziegler, Jerome (Rose) Ziegler, Julie (Michael) Olson, and Joanne (Timothy) Schoen; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and her siblings: Charles Wynn, Wayne Wynn, Elaine Beatty, Gail Lappala, Martha Bomaster, and Ronda Miller; and brother-in-law: Myron Ziegler.

Pauline was preceded in death by her husband: Orville Ziegler; her parents; and siblings: Vernon, Paul, Roy, Elsie, and Edna.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 P.M., Friday, May 10, 2024 at Schumacher-Kish, 200 West Avenue S., La Crosse and from 11:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M., Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Faith Lutheran Church, 1407 Main St., La Crosse. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 P.M. Saturday at the church and will be livestreamed. A luncheon will follow the service at the church.

Burial will take place at 11:00 A.M., Monday, May 13th at St. Joseph Cemetery in Glencoe Twp. Please meet at the cemetery.
