Paul E. Muenzenberger Sr., 78 of West Salem, Wis., died Friday, September 14, 2018. He was born in the Town of Greenfield, Wis. on December 21, 1939 to Clarence and Rosie (Reise) Muenzenberger. He married Cheryl Newman at the Cathedral of St. Joseph The Workman in 1965. Paul farmed until 1977, he then worked at G. Heilman Brewing Co. until his retirement.
Paul was a gardener who could grow anything. He also enjoyed fishing with Cheryl and making his own smoked sausage and smoked fish. He was an avid Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers and Milwaukee Brewers fan. Paul had proudly served his country with the United States Army.
In addition to his wife Cheryl, he is survived by his four children; Dawn (Jeffrey) Kaiser, Paul (Mary) Muenzenberger Jr., Bruce (Wendy) Muenzenberger and Brian Muenzenberger, eight grandchildren; Billy (Karlene), Justin, Brandon (Dominique), Kristin (Zach), Kayla (Special friend, Vince), Mallery, Maverick, Karissa. Six great grandchildren; Kendall, Ava, Grayson, Major, Grant and Dawson; also his special cat “Scruffy” that he loved very much. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers; Arthur, James, Harold, Richard and one sister Ruth.
Funeral services will be held at 11am on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services La Crosse chapel; 200 West Ave. South. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Coon Valley. Friends may call on the family Wednesday morning from 10am until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred and will be used in Paul’s memory.
