Paul was raised on a dairy farm in Cashton, WI. He had to quit school in the 9 th grade to help his family on the farm. At the age of 22, he met the love of his life, Levina Cavadini and they were married on October 7, 1953. During Paul’s life the farmer came out in him. He maintained a substantial garden where he shared the fruits of his labor with his surrounding neighbors. Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing, biking, and long walks with Levina. Together they loved to gather with friends and travel to area Polka Fests where a lot of card playing took place.

Being strong in their faith, they were married 67 years and raised five children. Tragically they lost their son, Steven on December 23, 1975, in a car accident. Levina passed away on November 17, 2020.

Paul is survived by his daughters; Paula Simmons (Kevin Smith) and Laura (Sean) Dwyer; sons, Gary (Kelly) Hauser and Scott (Janae) Hauser; seven grandchildren, Conor, Meghan and Mari Dwyer, Daniel Simmons, Emma, Jack, and Michael Hauser; a great-grandson, Tommy; Paul’s twin brother, Robert (Ione) Hauser is the sole surviving sibling.
