Paul G. Druschke, Jr.

Paul G. Druschke, Jr., known to many as “Bud”, passed away at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse on Wednesday, March 27, 2024. He was born on January 15, 1930, in Fond du Lac, WI and was adopted by his parents, Paul and Norine (Larkin) Druschke before his first birthday. He graduated from La Crosse Central High School in 1948 and served in the Naval Reserves for 4 years.

On May 7, 1951, he married Sylvia Olson, and they had three sons, Larry, Steven and John and a daughter, Darre. Sylvia preceded him in death on April 23, 2001.

Paul’s favorite activities included flying, coaching girl’s junior bowling and visiting with family and friends. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, American Legion and earlier in his life, AOPA (Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association).

Paul is survived by sons, Larry (Lorna) Druschke and John Druschke; daughter, Darre Druschke; grandson, Jerry Druschke; granddaughter, Leah (fiancé, Larry Galinsky) Burke; great-grandsons, Stephen and Sabastian Druschke; daughter-in-law, Vicki Druschke; former grandson-in-law, Robert Burke, nephew David (Frances) Manske, niece Diane (Gary) Butterfield and a very special friend, Arden Mc Callson. In addition to his wife Sylvia, he was preceded in death by a son, Steven Druschke; grandson, Paul Druschke; sister, Helen Ness and her husband, Bill Ness and many beloved pets through the years.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 5th at Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services, 200 West Avenue South, La Crosse. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the services.
