Paul William Craig

Paul William Craig, 43 of La Crosse, WI passed away Sunday December 3rd, 2023 due to injuries sustained in a fatal automobile accident.

He is survived by his mother Kathryn (Gale) Buchholtz, twin brother Shawn M. Craig, and his two beautiful daughters Collins Marie, and Lennon Kathryn. Alongside his many aunts and uncles & cousins that survive him, are his many close friends that he considered family.

Paul graduated from Aquinas Highschool in 1998. There, he awed stands for years with his amazing wrestling talent. He had several wins that included State Champion and Bi-State winner, along with countless pins. He was inducted into Aquinas' Hall of Fame in 2018 with the Aquinas Wrestling Legacy Award. Paul later went on to wrestle at UW-Eau Claire until he sustained a knee injury that ended his memorable career.

Paul would then move on to work with the Laborers Union 140 for many years. He worked on many of the buildings we use today throughout La Crosse, Rochester, and Minneapolis to name a few. His humor, sarcasm and wit have been passed down to his daughters and his loud and boisterous laugh will forever be missed. His love for Phish and live music sent him all over the US while attending their shows. There was rarely a year he missed a tour. He was an avid Cubs and Packer fan due to the fact his brother Shawn was a Brewers and Bears fan. For as different as they seemed, deep down the love they had for one another made them more alike then they'd probably like to admit.

He was preceeded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, his Aunt Paula Jandt, and his dear friend Rich Gillette. He will finally be reunited with his guardian angel, his father Michael W. Craig.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date in early 2024 where we can all share our memories and laugh about a life that was taken too soon.

In lieu of flowers, a College fund has been set up for both girls through Schmocker Financial Services in Onalaska, WI.
