Paul A. Abraham, age 64, passed away unexpectedly at his home in rural Bangor on Friday July 16, 2021, from natural causes.
Paul was born October 26, 1956, in La Crosse, WI to Roy and Marilyn (Mahlum) Abraham. He graduated from Central High School and went on to UW-L to earn a Masters Degree in 1987.
Paul married Debbie Knoll on June 29, 2001. They recently celebrated their 20 th wedding anniversary with a trip to northeast Wisconsin.
Paul was a gifted photographer, a hobby both he and Debbie shared. They were both members of the La Crosse Area Camera Club. He was also an avid reader, enjoyed bicycling, traveling, and Civil War re-enactments. In 1979, he took a cross country bicycle trip from Washington state to Florida. Paul also road in numerous bike races over the years. He was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and was passionate about his politics. He enjoyed traveling to Brit, Iowa for the annual Hobo Convention. He earned the Hobo moniker “Bo Peddler”.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Debbie; brothers, Brian (Laura) Abraham and Ron (Kristine) Phillips; sister, Patty (Dave Skinner) Phillips-Cota; cousin, Brenda (Bill Carver) Schauf; and stepfather, Maynard Phillips. He is also survived by nieces and nephews: Hillary (Spencer Dodd) Abraham, Josh (Kylee) Abraham, David (Paige Plowdrey) Abraham, Mikayla Cota, Meghan Cota and Carsen Cota.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, August 8 th from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. at Veterans Park, shelter #1, in West Salem, WI.
