Patrick E. Wuensch

Patrick Eugene Wuensch, 43, of La Crosse passed away on September 30, 2023. He was born on March 30, 1980 to Steven and Susan Wuensch in La Crosse, WI.

Patrick was an adventurous soul and was loyal to a fault. He was a traveler and explorer (Dora had nothin’ on him). He was always traveling, whether it be on land or by imagination through books.  Much like his dad, he was a Jack-of-all-trades. He was a talented chef de partie, bicycle repairman, and even a top tier pen salesman in California (or so he said). His generosity and compassion led him to be the type of man who would give you the shirt off his back or shoes off his feet (and did so, many times).

Patrick loved all things related to sports.  He treasured the memories he had made with his two younger children, Callan and Caylee, at Loggers games this past summer.  Pat was a devoted Green Bay Packers fan and avid collector of sports memorabilia.  He was a rolodex of information about sports of all kinds and prided himself on it.

Most of all, Patrick was a proud family man. His three children, Courtney, Callan, and Caylee are what he would have argued as his greatest accomplishments. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family and celebrating life.  His joyous laughter could fill a room.  He was a kind and loving father, son, brother, uncle, and friend.  He will be missed more than words can convey.

He is survived by his children, Courtney Wuensch (Steffen Hamby), Callan and Caylee Wuensch; his granddaughter, Madelynn Hamby; his mother, Susan; his former wife and mother of his children, Chastity Gordon; his siblings, Betsy (Eric) Klingelhofer, Jonathan (Laura) Wuensch, Mathew (Tiffany) Wuensch, Kimberly (Michael) Hagmann; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Steven Wuensch.

A memorial gathering will be held at Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services, 200 West Avenue South, La Crosse, WI on Friday, October 13, 2023 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. To honor Patrick, we would encourage you to wear your favorite green and gold attire.
