Patricia Mccabe

Patricia A. McCabe, 83, of La Crosse, passed away Friday, June 23, 2017, at Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse.

Pat was born March 20, 1934, in La Crosse, to Emmett and Emma (Schnedecker) McCabe. She graduated from Aquinas High School, Class of ’52. After a brief stay in Milwaukee, she came back to La Crosse to be near family and began a career with the La Crosse Telephone Company which lasted 40 years. Pat loved her job and was a key member of the management team at La Crosse Telephone Company.

Year after year, you could always count on a birthday card from Pat with a note of love and a few dollars to spend. She was a fun-loving person who could always make you laugh if you were having a tough day. She was a traveler and loved being on the road. Give her a fishing pole and she was content. Her love of God and her faith was very important to her. God got another angel to watch over us.

Pat’s family was very important to her. She is survived by her sister, Jeanette Pincsak of Lincoln, Neb.; niece, Barb Pincsak and nephew, Bruce (Linda) Pincsak, both of Lincoln; nephews, Jim (Ginger) McArthur of Holmen, Bill (Nancy) McArthur of Onalaska, Larry (Karen) McArthur of Appleton, Wis.; nieces, Pat Betz of Onalaska and Judy (Jerry) Olson of Holmen; numerous great nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends, Joan Ross and Dan Cavadini, and many other friends too numerous to mention. Pat was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lorraine McArthur; and brothers-in-law, Ervin Pincsak and LeRoy McArthur

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 28 ^th , at Mary, Mother of the Church Parish, 2006 Weston St., La Crosse. Rev. Brian Konopa will officiate. Burial will take place in the Catholic Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass on Wednesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Place of Grace, St. Clare Health Mission, or the Aquinas Foundation.
