Norma Luella Sauerbier

Norma Luella Sauerbier, 80, of La Crosse, died peacefully on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on March 14, 1937 in La Crosse to Joseph and Margaret Vance. She married Henry G. Sauerbier Jr. on August 18, 1973 in La Crosse. Norma retired from WWTC after 20 years of being the head cashier in the cafeteria. She loved her work and all the students she served. She also did catering, crafts, and gardening, and loved to fish with her husband Henry. They spent their summers in Mikana, WI at their fishing cabin. Norma was a kind and generous lady. If you needed an ear she was there. If you were hungry she’d feed you. You will be missed.

She is survived by a son Monte Stadtler, a daughter Cathy Lehrke, two grandsons Mike and Jamie, three brothers, Dick, Bruce and Dennis Vance, a sister Cindy Feran, and her beagle Toby. She was preceded in death by her husband Henry and a son Joel Stadtler.

A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, August 13, 2017 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral & Cremation Services of La Crosse. In honor of Norma, please dress casual or in camo and be ready to share a good fishing story.
