Michael E. Paremski, 70, of Holmen, passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022, at his home. He was born in La Crosse to Joseph and Eleanor Paremski on December 3, 1951. Michael graduated from Central High School in 1970 and went on to join the United States Navy. On January 6, 1973, Michael married Anne Bartel in La Crosse and together they had two children, Kari and Nicholas. He was an electrician for Wettstein Brothers Electric for 42 years before retiring in 2014. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, the Holmen American Legion, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, and the Knights of Columbus. Michael enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, and gardening. He loved to spend time with family, especially his grandkids. Michael is survived by his wife, Anne; children, Kari (Chris) Schaller and Nicholas (Krista Paremski); grandchildren, Ethan and Abigail Schaller, Huston and Alani Paremski; brothers, Joseph (Sandi) Paremski, Jim (Linda) Paremski, Thomas Paremski, and Dan Paremski; sisters, JoDeen Kobishop (Richard Exe), Sandy (James) Noble; mother-in-law, Mary Ann Bartel; brothers-in-law, Joseph (Kathy) Bartel, William (Kelly) Bartel, Paul (Sandra) Bartel, and Dan (Julie) Bartel. Michael was preceded in death by his parents and his infant son, Joseph; and father-in-law, William Bartel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 515 N Main St, Holmen, WI 54636. Msgr. Steven Kachel will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to Mayo Clinic Health System Hospice.
