Maxine T. Erdmann

Maxine T. Erdmann, 88, of Nodine, MN., passed away on July 21 ^st , 2022, at Winona Health surrounded by the love of her family. Maxine Theoline was born June 22 ^nd , 1934, to Louie and Clara (Olstad) Roalsvig in Watford City, ND. She was raised on a farm near Arnegard ND. She graduated from Arnegard High School in 1952, where she played high school basketball and that instilled her love for the game her whole life. In October 1952, she met Ervin Erdmann, a Minnesota German. On December 30 ^th , 1952, they were married and began their 50-year adventure. Ervin passed away May 20 ^th , 2003.

Maxine is survived by her seven children, Patricia (Jeff) Steinfeldt, Daniel (Laurie) Erdmann, Jeffrey (Rachel) Erdmann, Paula (Don) Dingfelder, Randolph (Brenda) Erdmann, Sarah (Steve) Bartz, and Amy (Andy) Wetzel; nineteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren, with another arriving in September; and her sister, Judith Curl of Beach ND.  She was predeceased by her husband; her parents; in-laws, Herman and Theresa Erdmann; sister, Adeline Stoveland; brothers-in-law, Norman Stoveland and Gerald Curl; and nephews, David Curl, and Dale Curl.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 26 ^th , at Grace Ev. Lutheran Church, Ridgeway, MN.  Pastor Jason Threlkeld will officiate.  Burial will follow in Bush Cemetery in Ridgeway.  Visitation will be held at the church on Monday, July 25 ^th , from 4:00-7:00 p.m., and again on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. The family encourages those attending to kindly wear masks.

Memorials, in lieu flowers, can be directed to Grace Ev. Lutheran Church, Ridgeway, MN, or St John’s Lutheran School, Nodine, MN.

Maxine fiercely loved her family, animals in all shapes and forms but especially cats, dogs, goats, donkeys and horses. As her 3-year-old great granddaughter said, “she is in Heaven with her goats and Jesus”

The family would like to extend their gratitude for the wonderful care given to their mother by the staff at St. Anne’s Extended Healthcare 3 ^rd & 4 ^th floors, Winona Health ER, ICU and Med-Surge floor.
