Mavis (LaFleur) Knutson passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital on January 6th. Mavis worked for Northern Engraving, which she loved. She then spent the majority of her working career at K-Mart in La Crosse working in the meat department. She got most of her enjoyment from babysitting after leaving K-Mart and adored the children she cared for, some were family, and some became family.
Mavis had many hobbies throughout the years and one of her most enjoyable was crocheting. She made and delivered hundreds of hats and blankets to Lutheran Hospital for premature babies, the staff was always excited to see her show up with her donations. She also loved her trips to the Casino’s and the ding ding ding of the machines and spent many hours completing her puzzles.
Mavis was also lucky in love; she was married to two wonderful Men of which she loved and cared for both Robert La Fleu r & Harold Knutson.
