Mary Tracy

Mary Catherine Tracy went to our heavenly Father on Tuesday, February 27, 2018. She passed away at the age of 73, surrounded by her family.

Mary was born February 17, 1945, in the city of Dearborn, Michigan, to Everett and Doris Hasse. She and her family moved to La Crosse shortly after. In 1965, she met the love of her life, Richard Tracy, and together they raised two children, Mark and Michelle.

Mary graduated from Central High School and continued on to the La Crosse School of Cosmetology. She practiced her profession for over 45 years. During her time as a beautician, Mary made many wonderful friends. Her true passion in life was her dedication to the Lord. She was a devoted member of Temple Baptist Church for many years.

Mary was selfless, caring and funny. Not only did she share her pleasant sense of humor and kindness at her place of work, but she also shared it with friends and family.

Mary was preceded in death by her sister, Carol Uhlenhopp; father, Everett, and mother, Doris. She is survived by her husband, Richard; son, Mark, of La Crosse; daughter, Michelle, and her husband, Cody Grove, of Columbia Heights, Minn.; and grandson, Derek Tracy of Sparta. She is also survived by her brother, Daniel, of Onalaska; sisters, Debra (Jerry) Crandell of Severance, Colo., and Sandra (Mark) Meisberger of Blanchardville, Wis.; brother-in-law, Tom (Bridie) Uhlenhopp of Waterloo, Iowa; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 2 ^nd , at Temple Baptist Church, 1326 North Salem Rd., La Crosse. Pastor Daniel Habegger will officiate.   Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services of La Crosse is assisting the family.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the Serenity House of Tomah, Wis., for making Mary’s final days comforting.

Mary’s contagious smile and limitless love will be sadly missed.
