Mary Therese Smith

Mary T. Smith of La Crosse, WI, passed away unexpectedly in her home on Wednesday, May 25, 2002.

She was born on May 19, 1954, to Mona (Pedersen) Dent and Richard Dent.  She came from a big family and had many siblings.  She was a graduate of Aquinas High School.  Mary worked at LaCro Products and retired from La Crosse Footwear in 2000.  On December 24, 1982, Mary married the love of her life, Prettic Smith, Sr.  Prettic preceded her in death unexpectedly on December 6, 2011.

Mary loved playing Bingo as well as trips to the casino, but her children and grandchildren were the most important things in her life.  She also had two fur babies who she loved dearly, Chubbers and Kitana.  She was the grandma and mom that would do anything for her loved ones.

In addition to her beloved husband, Prettic, Mary was also preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Mona (Pedersen) Dent; and sisters, Denise and Debbie Dent.  Survivors include her children, Cassondra Smith, Prettic Smith II, Jason Conrad, Damien Conrad, and Tisha (Conrad) Marco; her grandchildren, Dion Smith-Jones, Marshaun Smith-Robinson, Sam King, Natallia King, Jacob Gallagher, Mathew Marco, and Dillan Marco; and many siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and many more loved ones.

A private service will be held at a later date at her gravesite in Oak Grove Cemetery where she will be buried with her husband.
